Key takeaways
- Fridges, washing machines, ovens and AC units are heavy and awkward, and they need responsible disposal rather than being left by the bins.
- Empty and defrost fridges a day ahead, and have installed AC units and plumbed-in machines disconnected before collection.
- We carry appliances out from any floor and recycle metal, plastic and electronic parts whenever possible.
- You'll know the price before we start. Send a photo on WhatsApp with your area and floor.
Upgrading the fridge, replacing a broken washing machine, or clearing out an old AC unit after a renovation? Appliance removal in Dubai is a job most people can't do alone. Appliances are heavy, awkward to carry through doorways and lifts, and full of metal, plastic and electronic parts that shouldn't end up in a bin room. This guide covers which appliances we take, how to prepare them, what affects the price, and how to book a quick collection.
How does appliance removal work in Dubai?
Getting rid of an old appliance with us takes four steps:
- Send a photo of the appliance on WhatsApp, with your area and floor number.
- Know the price before we start, based on the type of appliance, how many items there are and the access.
- We carry it out. Our crew uses dollies and straps to move heavy units safely from your kitchen, laundry area or balcony to our truck.
- Responsible disposal. Metal, plastic and electronic parts are recycled whenever possible.
You don't need to move anything to the corridor or the loading bay first. We collect from where the appliance is.
Which appliances do we remove?
We handle all common household and commercial appliances:
- Fridges and freezers, including American-style double-door fridges and chest freezers
- Washing machines, front-load and top-load, plus tumble dryers and washer-dryers
- Dishwashers
- Ovens, cookers and hobs (freestanding units and disconnected built-in units)
- Microwaves and small kitchen appliances in bulk
- Water heaters
- AC units — split units, window units and portable ACs
- Commercial kitchen and laundry equipment from restaurants, hotels, laundries and offices
If you're clearing more than appliances, we can take furniture and general junk in the same visit through our furniture and appliance disposal service.
How to prepare appliances for collection
A little preparation makes collection safer and quicker:
- Fridges and freezers: empty them completely, unplug them and let them defrost for around 24 hours. Wipe out any water so nothing leaks in lifts or corridors.
- Washing machines and dishwashers: turn off the water supply, disconnect and drain the hoses, and unplug the machine. If it's plumbed in and you're unsure, ask your maintenance company to disconnect it first.
- AC units: installed split and window units must be safely uninstalled first, usually by an AC technician or your building's maintenance team. Once they're disconnected, we remove them.
- Ovens and cookers: make sure gas or electrical connections have been safely disconnected by a qualified person before collection.

Important: For safety, we don't disconnect gas supplies or electrical wiring. Please arrange that beforehand, and tell us when you book if anything is still connected.
Why appliances shouldn't be dumped
Fridges, freezers and AC units contain refrigerant gases and compressors. Washing machines and ovens are mostly metal, and almost every appliance contains electronic parts. All of that makes appliances worth recycling and unsuitable for normal waste. Dubai has licensed e-waste recycling capacity: Enviroserve in Dubai Industrial City handles electronic waste, according to Bayut.
Leaving an old fridge or washing machine beside the bins or on the street can also break building rules, and dumping waste in public places is fined under Dubai's waste regulations. A proper collection keeps you on the right side of both.
How much does appliance removal cost?
Every collection is priced on the job, and you'll know the price before we start. The main factors are:
- Type and size. A large double-door fridge or chest freezer takes more handling than a microwave.
- How many appliances there are. Combining several items in one visit is usually better value.
- Access. Floor number, service lift availability, stairs and the distance to the truck.
- Preparation. Whether units are already emptied, defrosted and disconnected.
- Timing. Same-day collection depends on the day's schedule.
Apartments, villas and businesses
Apartments
In towers in areas like Dubai Marina, heavy appliances come down in the service lift. Check with building management whether the lift needs booking, and let us know your floor. Our crew protects lift interiors and doorways while moving large units.
Villas
Villa jobs often involve several appliances at once — a second fridge in the garage, an old freezer in the storeroom, or AC units replaced during renovation. In areas like Al Barsha, we clear them all in a single visit.
Restaurants, hotels and offices
Businesses replacing kitchen, laundry or office equipment can book bulk appliance removal. We plan timing around your opening hours and building access through our commercial waste management service.
Small appliances and electronics in bulk
Kettles, toasters, irons, fans, old TVs and printers pile up in storerooms over the years. They're too bulky for normal bins in quantity, but each one is too small to book on its own. Box them up and add them to a larger appliance collection, and we'll take them away together for recycling where possible.
Moving out? Check who owns the appliances first
Many rented apartments and villas in Dubai come with appliances supplied by the landlord, such as the fridge, washing machine, oven and AC units. Before booking removal at the end of a tenancy:
- Check your tenancy contract or inventory to confirm which appliances belong to you and which belong to the landlord.
- Only dispose of items you own. If a landlord-owned appliance is broken, raise it with your landlord or agent rather than removing it.
- Photograph the kitchen and laundry area after your own appliances have gone, so the handover condition is clear.
If you're clearing the whole property before handover, our household junk removal service can take furniture, appliances and general junk in one visit.
Replacing several appliances at once
Renovations and kitchen upgrades often mean replacing several appliances together: a new fridge, washing machine and dishwasher arriving in the same week. Booking one collection for all the old units is quicker and usually better value than several separate pickups. Let us know the delivery dates for the new appliances, and we can time the collection so old units go as the new ones arrive.
Can Dubai Municipality take my old appliance?
Dubai Municipality's free bulky waste service covers electrical appliances and electronics for eligible residents, and requests are made via WhatsApp on 800900. Residents of real estate development zones and free zones can't apply, and collections are scheduled after your request. If you're not eligible, need the appliance carried out from inside your home, or need it gone quickly, private appliance removal is the faster option.

Frequently asked questions
How do I dispose of an old fridge in Dubai?
Empty it, unplug it and let it defrost for around 24 hours, then wipe out any water. Send a photo and your location on WhatsApp, agree the price, and our crew carries it out and takes it away for responsible disposal and recycling where possible.
Do you disconnect washing machines and AC units?
Please have plumbed-in washing machines and installed AC units safely disconnected before we arrive, by your maintenance company or a technician if needed. Once they're disconnected, we carry them out and take them away.
Which appliances do you remove?
Fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, cookers, microwaves, water heaters and AC units, plus commercial kitchen and laundry equipment from restaurants, hotels and businesses.
Can you remove a heavy appliance from a high-rise apartment?
Yes. Our crew uses appliance dollies and straps and brings items down through the service lift. Tell us the floor and building when you book, and check with your building management whether the lift needs reserving.
What happens to appliances after collection?
They're taken for responsible disposal. Metal, plastic and electronic components are recycled whenever possible, and appliances are never dumped.
